Bryant and Sonya have been serving at Buckingham Road since they arrived in the fall of 2017. Bryant along with his 10 brothers and sisters were raised in the Church in Tuckerman, AR. Bryant became a Christian at a young age and has always felt God’s call on his life to serve in some capacity in the Church. Bryant and Sonya met at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR and began serving together even before they were married at Apple Hill Church of Christ taking on the unofficial role of youth minister. Bryant and Sonya married at Apple Hill Church of Christ in 1994 and have now been married for 28 years. After graduating from Arkansas State in 1995, they moved to Memphis so Bryant could take on his new job at WREG TV. Sonya worked as a pharmacy tech at Germantown Methodist Hospital. In 1997, Bryant obtained a job with ESPN and he and Sonya moved to Bristol, CT serving with the South Road Church of Christ in Farmington, CT. Bryanna was born in November 1999, and they decided to move closer to family making the move to Rowlett, TX in March of 2000 where they have resided ever since. Bryant and Sonya then became members of Wylie Church of Christ in 2002 and later, Bryant began serving as a deacon until they left in 2017. Dietrich was placed with Bryant and Sonya in 2003 and they adopted him in 2004, making their family complete. Bryant became a deacon at Buckingham Road in 2018 and has been serving in any area needed since then.

Bryant has always been interested in missions since his college years and began taking local mission trips during those years. He went on his first international mission trip to Panama, 3 weeks after marrying Sonya. Bryant has been on mission trips to various countries: Belize, London, England, and Fiji. Bryant met Ron Coleman at Wylie Church of Christ. Ron had already been traveling to India for many years. Bryant and Ron have now been traveling to India once a year for the last 18 years.

Currently, Bryant works at Westar Satellite Services as an Operations Engineer and, also at Wylie Preparatory Academy as Property Coordinator in Maintenance. Sonya currently teaches at Wylie Preparatory Academy and owns her own business. Bryanna graduated from DPT school in 2022. Dietrich is currently attending school at Collin College. Bryant and Sonya are honored and excited to serve the Church in this new role.
