I was born and raised in Texarkana, Texas. I attended church in Texarkana at Walnut St Church of Christ and Westside Church of Christ where I was baptized in the summer of 1979. I went to Texas A&M and received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture systems management. After graduating from Texas A&M I went to work for Wolfe Nursery in the Houston area. After a couple of years in Houston, I was transferred to Midland where I met a cute girl named Lisa Petty. I worked in Midland for about 8 months when the opportunity came to move back home to Texarkana and work for my current company, BWI. BWI is a wholesale distributor of agriculture and garden supplies. That cute girl that I met and myself decided we should go ahead and get married so she also moved to Texarkana and we married on December 17th, 1994. I trained with BWI for a few months in Texarkana when a territory opened in the north Texas area. Lisa and I moved to Plano for a few months then bought our current house in Sachse in August of 1995. Lisa was “unable” to do any heavy lifting when we moved because we had recently found out she was pregnant with our first child. Rob was born on March 13, 1996. A few years later, June 19th, 1999, we were blessed to welcome Cody into this world and then a few years after that, March 13th, 2002, we filled out our family by welcoming Emily into the world. Lisa has been an elementary teacher in the GISD system since we married and will retire in the next couple of years. All three of our kids went to Texas A&M. Rob graduated a few years ago, got an engineering job in Ft. Worth and soon married his ‘Bandina Sweeheart’, Hayley Fortson. Just about 1 year ago they blessed us with the most precious, cutest, adorable, sweet granddaughter, Emery Jo. Cody and Emily will both graduate from TAMU in August. Cody will intern this summer in South Dakota and Emily will intern this summer in Bryan, Texas. Emily is engaged to Micah Abrams and is doing a great job spending all my money preparing to be married in October of this year. Lisa and I attended Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson for the first 8 years of our marriage and have been attending Buckingham Rd Church of Christ for the last 20 years where I have had the honor to serve as Deacon.

I was fortunate to be raised in the church of Christ by my parents Jack and Annette Foster, who set a wonderful Christian example for me growing up. My dad served as deacon and elder in the church and my mom was a supportive wife and always involved with the church. They both attend at BRCC along with one sister Becky Foster. I have one other sister, Beth Hames, that lives with her family in Austin.
